As the only other child in the family, Tim must tackle all the chores on his own now, which he resents, but he also feels his brother is fighting for a good cause.

I am not even going to mark this post for spoilers because the title already does that for you. An opinion I had on this book was it was boring at first.

Tim finds an excuse to visit his brother when Rebel soldiers enter his house and violently demand his father's gun, which is with Sam. There are many conflicts that the Meeker''s face during the Revolutionary war. Tim outsmarts them, saves himself, and has to bring the wagon of goods home on his own.
